Hello Friends.
I hope you are all keeping well.
Things have been rather turbulent the last 3 weeks.
It all started in England.
I went with the big Sarholz truck.
It was allot of fun being on the road with the team.
We picked up Rene and my bike in Köln.
We got to a football field near the track on Thursday morning.
In the afternoon we went to the paddock and put up the tent ect.
What an awesome track.
It was on the side of a hill.
I went around the track at least 3 times before Saturday training started.
I was having fun on the track.
It had some big jumps and two whoop timing sections.
In time training though, I froze not getting a good time in at all.
On Saturday night we changed my suspension a bit and on Sunday morning I was 12 in training again.
In the first Moto I had to get off the gas at the start because of another rider.
That put me pretty far back in the field.
I made some good passes on the first few laps.
I was top 12.
Then about 17min into the race Freibergs made a mistake next to me over a jump and he had to throw the bike away in the air. His bike bounced into the front of me on landing and I went down going over the bars.
I caught my thumb and a tendon was torn.
I was pretty disappointed because things were really going well again.
Rene had my bike working well and I was feeling fit for the races. I got home on Monday afternoon
And went straight to the B.G clinic in Frankfurt.
It was decided that on Friday they would sow it back on .
The operation went very well and I only stayed 5 days in Hospital.
I could start condition training again and was running soon. It’s just amazing what a knock your body takes when you get operated on.
I was very weak for nearly a week after the operation.
I am feeling better now and I could start swimming again.
Just 17c water temperature is a bit cold :o)
I will keep u all informed how my hand is healing.
Take care.
