  •  29.04.2004  Valkenswaard Preperations for Teutschenthal

I was surprised to see what they had done to the track.
It was a very different track compared to the last years.
I was on the track with a std bike.
I felt pretty good.
In the race I was off the gate like rocket.
I got passed a few riders in the first corner and was lying 7th.
On the first up hill 3 bike shot passed me.
It was a hard race. I was riding at 110 % trying to get my bike around the track as fast as it would allow me.
I was 12th until the last lap when I was blocked passed . 13th
In time training we tried some other settings to try and stop the bike bogging on landings.
That didn’t work so I was back on the std bike and ended 11th.
After discussions with the team we decided to scrap that project and see if I could get a start in MX1 . And I will be 1st reserve in Teutschenthal.
On Tuesday I was testing again with the 250. We spent the day going through the jets and finding the best possible jetting.
Then I tried Andy´s bike and was surprised to see how well that went?
Poor William is tearing his hair out :o)
He will take both bikes back to our tuner and see if they can find the problem next week.
The guys from Silent Sport where there again and I was lucky that I could ride the 450 again. Because on the weekend I was going to be on a 450 and I still don’t have a training bike.
They should be here this week some time.
At last !!!!!!!!!!
I feel like a mechanic who hasn’t got any spanners to work with.
But that will change soon.
I will keep you posted on the news.
Take care and hold thumbs for me in Teutschethal.

Im off to cycle 3 hours.
See you all there.
