At last on a crf 450 again.....
The last time I was on a 450 was the end of February.
I was still depressed at my GP outings and a Motocross riders mind does start to doubt a bit.
That lasted until I did my first lap on the 450 ... Yiiihhaa how much fun is that bike.
My riding is most certainly not the problem...
The only problem was that I hadn’t ridden it for such a long time that already in Time training I new my arms were going to give me problems.
It was a new motor that Sarholz had had tuned.
I wasn’t off the gate as good as I wanted to be but with in the 1st lap I was first and pulling away. That lasted a whole 4 laps. By then I was 8 sec away. My underarms went stiff. So much so that I could not hold on any more. I fell off 2 times because I couldn’t hold on to the handle bars.
That was most frustrating. I have not had a training bike for month and I was missing riding hours.
Coming home in 4th.
The second motor I was off the line again slow.
The motor is a bit sluggish off the gate and not having ridden one it was difficult getting the right power down on to the ground.
I got to the front on the first lap and put effort into pulling away. Once I was 17 sec out I ran on cruise control.
Things were looking up again.

On Tuesday we went testing with the modified 250 CRF again but that thing was giving me and Willem Grey hairs. It was turning out to be extremely complicated getting it to work well. But that’s what happens when you have done no testing before the race season. The reason was we thought we were in the MX 1 but it all turned out differently then we thought.

On Wednesday I went up to Culitzsch. I had a mx school there. It was allot of fun and the track there is awesome. My 250 gave up on the 3rd lap and thanks to my friend Marcel Mädler I had a bike to ride. I was doing motos in the lunch break.

Then on Friday I was on my way back to Frankfurt.
I have been spending more than 1 min. in the car.

On Saturday I was in Leuteshausen on a 450. The bike was loaned to me by Silent Sport and I would like to take the time here to thank them, Uli and Rene`. I still don’t have a practice bike so they helped me out. The track in Leutershausen was fun to ride.

On Saturday afternoon we left for Schnaitheim. I was in the same hotel as Luki Weiss, well, they booked it for us. Thanks Katrin. The weather was awesome on Sunnyday. I was feeling tired in the morning but that soon disappeared. Time training was fun. I was 2nd with half a second behind Gareth.

The start was not good. The bike hasn’t got the jump out of the gate. I was about 13.
Some one washed my front wheel out under me and I went done. Getting up I was almost last. I rode forward till 6th in the end . The race was just 2 short.
The second race was nearly the same. I was unable to get the jump out of the gate. Was 13 th on the 1st lap and slowly I went forward I ended up 2nd, 4 sec behind Gareth passing the 2nd rider 3 corners from the end.  I was 3rd over all.
Not where I want to be...
I need a practice bike yesterday....
